Exciting Times for the American Constitution Society

Sent from the Associate Director for Student Chapters, Hazeen Ashby:

As you will see in the articles, our former Executive Director of ACS, Lisa Brown, resigned from ACS to accept the White House Staff Secretary position. Additionally, we also accepted the resignations of Board members Eric Holder, who has been tapped to be Attorney General, and Ron Klain, who will serve as Vice-President-elect Biden’s Chief of Staff. While it is bittersweet to lose the guidance of these brilliant leaders, we are thrilled that they will have the opportunity to shape the debates on the legal and policy issues that are most important to our country at this time.

Indeed, this is an exciting time to be part of ACS! I hope that you will encourage your fellow classmates, and ACS members/supporters to either renew their membership or join ACS as a national student member at www.ACSLaw.org/join. Each new member is another source of ideas, another link to professional and volunteer opportunities and another ambassador for ACS and your student chapter. When they fill out the form online please remind them to make sure that we have their graduation year and a permanent email address!!!
